Android One in the Philippines

   Android One is coming to the Philippines. In case you may not know it. Android One is Google's attempt to produce affordable, fast, and smooth smartphones running on the latest version of Android. (Lollipop).

   It is also stated in their site www.android.com that it will be offered by Smart, Globe, and Sun.

   Android One will be released by two local phone distrubutors Cherry Mobile and Myphone. Cherry Mobile calls it Cherry Mobile One and Myphone labeled it Myphone Uno.

Cherry Mobile One Specs:

• 4.5” FWVGA display
• Cortex A7 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor
• 1GB RAM
• 8GB storage (expandable up to 32GB)
• 2x micro SIM
• Front and rear facing cameras (2MP and 5MP)
• Rechargeable lithium-ion, 1700mAh
• Android™ Lollipop (and gets the new version soon after it’s released)

Myphone Uno Specs:

• 4.5” FWVGA display
• Cortex A7 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor
• 1GB RAM
• 4GB (expandable up to 32GB)
• 2x micro SIM
• Front and rear facing cameras (2MP and 5MP)
• Rechargeable lithium-ion, 1700mAh
• Android™ Lollipop (and gets the new version soon after it’s released)

   And by the way, prices of two devices ranges from Php 4, 000.00 to Php 5, 000.00. Given the specs, its very affordable. Can't wait to have it.
